Elizabeth Stone, MS, OTR/L
Elizabeth Stone earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Stanbridge University in Irvine, California, in 2023. She is a licensed Occupational Therapist with over 2½ years of experience in acute care and acute rehabilitation settings, providing evidence-based,
patient-centered care to individuals recovering from complex neurological, orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, and medically complex conditions.
Throughout her clinical practice, Elizabeth has worked with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from cerebrovascular accidents (CVA/stroke), Guillain-Barré syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis, West Nile Virus, Cardiac arrest, COPD, orthopedic injuries and post-surgical conditions, vaccine-related injuries, and other neurological and medical diagnoses. Her approach integrates functional rehabilitation, therapeutic exercise, patient education, and holistic wellness principles to help patients maximize independence and quality of life.
In addition to her occupational therapy practice, Elizabeth has provided holistic home health services throughout the Los Angeles area since 2005, incorporating yoga therapy, neuromuscular therapy, microcurrent therapy, and other integrative modalities to support healing and functional recovery across diverse populations.
In 2019, Elizabeth founded Yoga Bands®, LLC, a company dedicated to rehabilitation-focused yoga and precise movement education through a biomechanical and therapeutic lens. She has also taught group yoga and fitness classes throughout Los Angeles, including at LA Fitness.
Elizabeth’s extensive bodywork and manual therapy training includes a 600-hour certification from Touchstone Healing Arts in Burlington, Vermont, as well as advanced studies at The Lotus Palm School in Montreal. Her professional experience includes work in premier wellness and spa environments, including Equinox (Marina del Rey, CA), La Costa Resort & Spa (Carlsbad, CA), Sheer Artistry Day Spa (Avon, CT), and Smugglers’ Notch Resort & Spa (Jeffersonville, VT). She has continued her education through renowned institutions including the Thorp Institute, Heartwood Institute, Esalen Institute, and Kripalu Center.
Elizabeth also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education (K–12) from Northern Vermont University in Johnson, Vermont. She frequently incorporates creativity, therapeutic art, and mindful expression into both her occupational therapy interventions and yoga instruction for children and adults.
A lifelong student of yoga and wellness, Elizabeth began practicing yoga at age 14 and has pursued extensive training in a variety of traditions. Her studies include Vipassana Meditation, Vision Quest training through the Animas Valley Institute, and Isha Yoga and Meditation under Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev in Coimbatore, India.
Elizabeth is a certified YogaWorks® 500-Hour Teacher, YogaWest® Kundalini Yoga Teacher (200-Hour), Rainbow Kids® Yoga Teacher, Yoga Ed.® Instructor, and Radiant Child Yoga® Instructor. She has also completed over 100 hours of Yoga Medicine® training and continues to explore the integration of therapeutic yoga, rehabilitation sciences, and holistic health.
In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys playing guitar, hiking, traveling, sailing, and golfing.
